Where’s the New Gear?

August 26, 2011 | By | 1 Reply More

Typically manufacturers of hunting and fishing gear roll out a bunch of new stuff before the season. Happens every year and truth be told…we love it. Seeing, checking out, testing, using new gear, it’s fun. Even when it doesn’t work out, we’re always learning.

So where’s the new upland stuff? We don’t have a whole lot of new stuff on our list to use/test this year. So far it’s limited to:

> A new Garmin GPS (maybe two different models).

> The new Astro 320.

> New upland gloves, strap vest and maybe a couple other things from LL Bean.

> Couple new (to us) shells.

That’s pretty much our list.

Has anyone rolled out any new gear for this fall that you think we should try?

How about some old gear you swear by we should try?

And let us know what new stuff you’re testing/using this season.

    Walls Upland Duck Bib Overall

Over the years I’ve hiked through everything, and I’ve tried the pants, checked out the chaps, but absolutely nothing beats a pair of overall bibs.

Walls Upland Duck Bib Overall, about $50 a pair
